What do you wish your team would do without you having to ask?
I have a family member who is the Office Manager in an orthodontist’s office and I asked her this question. I will share her answers…..but I would LOVE to hear from you as well!

I would like it if my team would take the initiative to do routine tasks without being told. Sometimes I feel like I need to be in the same room just to get them to complete their duties.

I hear this often, Rosemarie. We need to be sure our teams understand what is expected and are held accountable for their responsibilities. Behaviors are more likely to change if there are consequences…! I have noticed that being proactive in what you do and how you think is not something that we can “teach”. Having detailed job task lists and systems for accountability are 2 ways to help you help the team get their jobs accomplished without constant supervision and management, GOOD LUCK!
